Walt Disney Signature At DIFFA 2010

For this year’s Dining By Design DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) event in New York City on March 22nd, 2010, the Walt Disney Signature Team, in collaboration with Cappellini, one of the most renowned design innovators worldwide, designed an iconic installation to premiere at the event; this dynamic team approached Premier Displays & Exhibits in order to bring the exhibit to life.

Hosted this year by Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber, DIFFA’s Dining by Design is renowned for bringing together some of the most talented and celebrated individuals in the worlds of fashion, interior design, art, and architecture to create spectacular, over-the-top dining environments.

A 3-dimensional sculpting of Mickey Mouse presides over the Walt Disney Signature and Cappellini dining installation; the Mickey sculpture is made of polyurethane, measures 10 feet tall from head to toe and weighs 86 lbs. Their innovative tabletop and display combines the magic of Disney and uses Disney inspiration with avant-garde Cappellini design. The Disney dining installation features Cappellini’s iconic chair designs with a touch of Disney.
